This Cookie Policy applies to all visitors of the Website(s) (hereinafter referred to as “Visitors”) and describes how Blended Capital uses cookies on its Website(s).

This Cookie Policy may be amended from time to time, for example, if Blended Capital starts using other cookies or if regulations change. Visitors will be informed about substantial changes on the Website(s). If cookies collect Personal Data and a Visitor is also a User, the Privacy Policy of Blended Capital applies as well, which can be accessed here.

Terms starting with a capital letter that are not defined in this Cookie Policy are already defined in the ToS (Blended Capital’s terms of service) and/or Privacy Policy of Blended Capital and also apply to this Cookie Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small (text) files that Visitors’ computer, tablet, smartphone, or other electronic device (hereinafter referred to as “Device”) stores when Visitors visit the Website(s). By using cookies, Devices are recognized. In this way, Blended Capital measures and analyzes the use of the Website(s) and can potentially make improvements. Cookies cannot start programs or spread viruses.

Cookies have a certain validity period from the moment they are placed on a device. Some cookies are valid for the duration of a session, which means they are automatically deleted when the Visitor closes their browser. There are also cookies that remain valid for a longer period, so they can be read again during a subsequent visit to the Website(s).

Use of cookies by Blended Capital

Different types of cookies are placed via the Website(s), such as i) functional cookies to display the Website(s) and remember Visitors’ language and preferences, ii) analytical cookies to gain better insight into the use of the Website(s), and iii) pixels for retargeting purposes.

Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies record how Visitors use the Website(s). Using these cookies, Blended Capital analyzes the use of the Website(s) and generates (anonymous) user statistics and reports. Blended Capital uses the open source tooling of Ackee (https://ackee.electerious.com). This analytics software gives us insight about our visitors only in general, but not about individuals per se, as it does not track visitors and does not store any personal identifiable information.

More information about the tooling of Ackee can be found here.

Pixels

Blended Capital uses so-called Pixels on its Website(s). These are pieces of code from third parties that are included in Blended Capital’s Website(s) and placed on the Visitors’ devices when they visit the Website(s). Blended Capital uses pixels for retargeting purposes. This means that the third parties who own the pixels keep track of which other websites Visitors visit on behalf of Blended Capital. This enables Blended Capital to bring its Services to the attention of Visitors through these third parties on other websites or platforms, for example, by displaying an advertisement for the Services to Visitors on those third-party websites and/or platforms. Prior to placing these pixels, permission is first requested from Visitors. If no permission is granted, the pixels will not be placed. Blended Capital uses pixels from Facebook.

We only use Pixels on the pages of our Website(s) that are freely accessible to everyone. No Pixels are placed on the Platform.

Cookie choices

Visitors are asked for permission prior to placing pixels. If no permission is granted, no pixels are used, and therefore, no information about Visitors is collected in this way.

No prior consent is required for placing any functional and technically necessary cookies. Blended Capital has a legitimate interest in processing the Personal Data collected through these cookies in order to improve and secure its Website(s). Moreover, this processing has no or minimal impact on the privacy of the Visitors.

Visitors can manage the cookies placed by Blended Capital in the browser settings of their browser. Any granted consent can be revoked in this way.
